MyTAG has been installed on traffic signals and road signs in New York, in the latest application of the innovative technology.
A robust tag is attached to each signal or sign, which the highways department scans to prove when they have carried out their regular checks.
Any damage or action required can be electronically reported on-site, allowing parts to be ordered and repairs to be scheduled immediately. On completion, the engineer scans the tag, to confirm that the work has been carried out, and the job can be automatically closed.
The cloud based MyTAG system ensures a complete audit trail of checks and repairs of all highways signage, allowing accident and damage blackspots to be instantly identified and appropriate action taken.
